About This Site

Structure

Please refer to the sitemap to see how this website is structured.

Terminology

If you come across terms used on this site that you are not familiar with, please see the glossary. Many acronyms, such as POS, are associated with a "title" that is displayed when you move your mouse over the acronym.

Objectives

This website has been designed with several main objectives in mind:

Our ECR product guide is there to help you limit the number of products you need to enquire about; we hope that many of the visitors to this site may find it useful. Having said that, the best website can't replace a good consultant who can answer any specific questions you may have, give you one-on-one advice on which products may be suitable for your business needs, and demonstrate features of our products. It is nearly impossible to list every single feature of our cash registers or of our POS software. But we may be able to let you know which ones are the most relevant features for you, and how our products could be configured to match your requirements.

Technology

The pages on this site have been written in XHTML, a stricter markup language than HTML, and in CSS. Simple JavaScript is being used for in-page navigation on several pages and some features like the product guide require JavaScript to be enabled to work. JavaScript is also used for the main navigation menu on every page. However, browsers that do not have or have disabled JavaScript should still be able to navigate the site without problems. The only things that will not work without JavaScript are the email links, since these have been "cloaked" with JavaScript to protect us from "spam bots". If you need to contact us per email, either enable JavaScript and go to the contact page, or manually type the email address displayed in the image on the top right of every page into your email client.

Standards

The W3C defines Internet standards (please see the W3C website for more details). In creating this website, we have made every effort to comply with these standards so that this website can be enjoyed by visitors with any browser on any platform. However, if you do encounter problems of any kind on this site, or find typos, errors, etc., or wish to offer constructive criticism of any kind, please contact the site's webmaster.

We hope you will find this website useful and informative.
