Very
similar to the ER-A410 in terms of functionality, the Sharp ER-A420 features
a flat keyboard with 119 keys, providing 70 direct PLUs, although this number
can be increased by sacrificing unneeded function keys (the ER range of Sharp
cash registers allows the layout of the keys to be modified from the factory
defaults). The spill-proof keyboard makes the 420 ideal for use in restaurants,
pubs, or any environment where drinks or other liquids are being used. It is
also ideal for businesses where having direct access to plenty of PLU keys is
important.
