Datalogic's
6100 series of contact CCD barcode scanners have new digital architecture which
guarantees the most powerful features on the market for readers in their class.
The built-in data formatting and data editing features allow the user to shape
the collected data according to whatever format is required by the application.
Connectivity is guaranteed to most hosts with the powerful multistandard decoder
capable if interfacing to RS232, Wedge and Wand Emulation.
The most advanced feature of the DLC6100 series CCD's is the new "Puzzle Solver" decoding. This is capable of collecting partial data from successive scans and putting the pieces together like a puzzle to get the entire picture. This offers exceptional reading even on poor quality codes.
With 65 & 90mm readers for linear or PDF417 codes the new 6100 series is one of the best ranges of contact CCD scanners available.

Datalogic
has moved a step ahead with the Gryphon "Instinctive Reader". The
"Instinctive Reading Distance" a concept introduced by Datalogic based
on in-depth ergonomic studies, represents the natural position of the users
hand while reading a code. The Gryphon takes the concept further with a with
a "Green Spot" projected on to the barcode to indicate a successful
read. These outstanding ergonomics in a gun style reader with state of the art
optics and a decode rate of 270 scans/sec, make the Gryphon very user friendly,
intuitive and fast.
The Gryphon has all the other usual features that make Datalogic scanners amongst the best in their class. Plug & Play Multistandard Architecture, Puzzle Solver Decoding Technology and quick and easy programming. The Gryphon's optimized optics give it laser like performance, allowing it to read barcodes from near contact to 30cm.

Datalogic's
range of scanners has been enhanced by the DLL2020 or Diamond scanner. This
presentation scanner is amongst the smallest scanners of its type and can improve
any type of point of sale scanning where counter space is at a premium.
It has an excellent scan rate from its 16 line, 800 scans a sec scan pattern and its unique fitted rubber protective sleeve stops the scanner from sliding on the bench top and provides added protection should it be bumped or dropped. The unique moulded grip also fits comfortably in the hand allowing users to use the scanner in a point and shoot style for difficult to reach items.
These features and Datalogic's usual multistandard decoder for interfacing to most host systems by simply changing cables make the DIAMOND one of the best options for convenience store applications.

The Magellan 8200 scanner and Magellan 8200 scanner/scale features are also part of PSC's high performance Magellan family. The Magellan 8200 features PSC's patented 360-degree scan pattern for ergonomically correct scanning when seated or standing. The Magellan 8200 has a powered auxiliary RS232 port for intergrating a PSC handheld scanner for those large or heavy items that are often left in the shopping cart. This port can also be used to update the scanner's software in Flash memory. Additionally, the Magellan 8200 can be equipped for full electronic article surveillance (EAS) functionality, including Interlock, for one step scanning and security tag deactivation.
